Athelgard Continuity
2023-present

This is my hodgepodge medieval fantasy universe. It encompasses a couple things:

  • My Dark Souls protagonist OC, Anselm, who I like to import into other universes (this one seems an especially good "home" for him)
  • Knight Paschalis, the protagonist of a WIP short fantasy horror story
  • An original novel that may or may not ever be finished, revolving around a wizard named Katla and a regicidal prince named Cassander

Anselm, as he appears in the first Dark Souls game! Featuring some of his endgame gear. (Drawn ~September 2024)

Sketches of Anselm as he appears in various Dark Souls games. (Drawn September 2024)

The first art I drew of Anselm - this actually isn't a very good picture of him, as it was before I'd worked out a personality for him and I was mostly just trying to copy his DS1 in-game model. (Drawn December 2023)

An attempt at drawing Anselm in more modern clothes. He gives off a little too much vampire energy here though. (Drawn April 2024)

Cassander, a former prince of Athelgard who was "exiled" (read: imprisoned in magical stasis) as a young man and then recovered 200 years later. Two chapters into the "novel" he kills the king and instates himself as the new ruler. (Drawn August 2024)

Katla, the "novel's" other main protagonist - a wizard specializing in apotropaic magic, who will do just about anything to keep her job. This pic also features Geloyra, a mysterious demonologist. (Drawn August 2024)

Maurice, a guard with a nervous disposition. Originally a side character, but I like him a lot, so he keeps getting more important to the plot? (Drawn October 2024)

Athelgard's current coat of arms, featuring a dragonfly and garlic flowers. This was from when I was doing a bunch of research on heraldry. (Drawn October 2024)

Cassander displays his new crest design, quartering the modern design with elements of the design that was in use when he was prince 200 years ago. (Drawn October 2024)
