Art: Original Characters

Some original characters who aren't tied to any long-running writing project.

~

Anthro beetle concept. (Drawn August 2023)

Izumo Kousuke, the protagonist of a fictional JRPG called Stormscape. It's the sort of thing I pull out whenever I need my characters in other writing projects to mention a fake video game. (Drawn August 2022)

Fantasy detective duo concept. (Drawn March 2022)

Nameless OCs who got recycled into Pembroke and Willow. I think they were supposed to be supervillains originally? (Drawn February 2020)

Songhua, the ghost of a scholar from the Han Dynasty, is awoken in the modern day and becomes best friends with Socky, the ghost of a normal middle schooler. This was from when I was taking a class on early Chinese religion and decided to make a guy out of it. I think this would work really well as an animated show written by someone with a PhD in history (so, not me). (Drawn May 2021)

I think this was the first art I drew of them

Please ignore the fact that I drew the amongus ghost wrong

hi five!

Couple more drawings of Socky and Songhua.

Olivia and Eleanor, two of Socky's middle school friends. I think I accidentally recycled Eleanor's design for Sylva. (Drawn April 2021)

Sonic OC concept. Lizard! (Drawn February 2020)

Alexey, one of my oldest characters. He was the protagonist of a Star Trek fanseries I wrote about 110k words of between the ages of 12 and 14. He's the science officer of a starship and is inflicted with a condition that for [insert complicated scifi reasons] turns him invisible most of the time. (Obviously not here, though.) (Drawn May 2020)

Redrawing/redesigning two of the first original characters I ever created, from when I was 6 or 7. One was a magical comet reincarnated as human; the other was a shapeshifter, I think? (Drawn February 2021)
