faces are everywhere:

surprised cartoon eyes of power outlets, lines of mouths in the knots of oaks, and they say there's a man in the moon but i've never seen it.

there's a skull on the back of a death's head hawkmoth, but it's just a few stray circles, not a warning. nature has more abstract symbols of danger than to reflect back to us the image of our bones.
