Escapism, or, Girls' Night in the Dungeon of Doors
2020

A DnD 5e campaign I ran for my friends in early 2020, in which the party must investigate a dungeon whose many doors act as portals to strange magical realms. In retrospect it was entirely too complicated, but I think we all had fun!

~

A poster I made for the campaign! Featuring the players: an Aarakocra barbarian, a Tabaxi alchemist, and a human fighter/warlock.

A couple of the antagonists, who were all cultists.

A trapped god the players came across in one of the realms.

One of the areas the players visited. Too bad the perspective is so wonky...

Throne room of some sort of mushroom castle? I honestly cannot remember the context. The guy on the floor is my non-DnD character Timothy.

Final area of the game: a place where a bunch of elemental essences were being harvested.

Reality went to shit a little bit. Featuring the asshole cultist Markus, who was planning for this, I think.

By far my favorite part of the campaign, though, was this animatic I made to introduce a dramatic moment! (Boss splash screen is a pastiche of Kirby Star Allies; music is by me!)
